Description
Dinu Lipatti with His Last Recital at Besancon Festival on September 16th, 1950 on this 1957 2-set Columbia release 33CX1499/1500 1st pressing Blue/Gold label. He died less than three months after the recording.
Record 1: Bach's Partita No 1 in B flat major, Mozart's Sonata No 8 in A minor, Schubert Impromptus. Record 2: Chopin Waltzes.
The vinyl is in super condition on both records. A few hairlines here and there. Record 2 has one scratch which doesn't appear to affect the sound. They both play well with no skips or jumps. A little crackle and a few pops in places. The sleeve for Record 1 shows signs of wear. Some repairs with old tape and bumping on the opening and age staining in places. See photos. Record 2 sleeve is much better with no tears or splits. Both have small original price stickers on the reverse. For some reason the sleeves are different. Record 1 is shiny both sides while Record 2 has a cardboard back. See photos.
