3 Vinyl Albums by Queen - Sheer Heart Attack, News Of The World, Hot Space
Here are 3 albums by Queen :
Year of Release Matrix Numbers Sheer Heart Attack 1974 YAX 4881-6U, YAX 4882-3U
News Of The World 1977 YAX 5355-1, YAX 5356-2
Hot Space 1982 EMA 797, but other numbers not clear.
Using the Record Collector's Grading system, I would conservatively grade all the covers and vinyl as "Very Good".
The "News Of The World" album is a UK first pressing with the very early matrix numbers 1 and 2. It is very rare to come across such an early copy.
I have cleaned all of the albums using my Loricraft PRC4 vacuum record cleaner and have put them all inside anti static plastic inner sleeves. All of the original inner sleeves with lyrics are included as well. I have not played all the albums all the way through but have just played the first track on each side and the start of the second track. The worst place for scratches and pops/crackles is usually the lead in to the first track where the stylus is lowered and therefore usually provides quite a good guide as to the condition of the vinyl. These albums all have some crackling during the run in to the first track but not at all bad and to lesser extent in the dead wax between the first and second tracks and this is not uncommon. Visually overall, there are some minor marks but no heavy scratches are apparent, leading me to give my conservative grading of 'Very Good'. The crackling that I did hear is in no way detrimental to the sound quality, which I think is superb. As with most Queen albums, the production was first class and results in fantastic audio quality.
All of the covers show signs of normal wear and tear for albums of this age. There are some sticker marks on 'News Of The World' and 'Hot Space', please see attached photos for more detail.
Overall, this is a great opportunity to purchase 3 great albums at a very competitive price.
