Description

ULTRA RARE AND VERY INTERESTING.
Other copies I can find online, one on discogs and two on Popsike, have a title paste-on on the front cover, "Recorded For 8th Army Exchange".  This copy did not have such a strip.  The label indicates an "Eagle" producer and, MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN.  THE ALBUM AND THE 4 SHELLAC DISCS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  Textured boards, clean paste-on title on front board.  The sleeves are thin paper but solidly attached to album with no tears.  All of the 78s have VERY CLEAN SURFACES with a few light visible scuffs or scratches, I'll grade VG++.  One of the 4 did have small chips on the outer edge, very slightly into the lead-in.  It's the one with the song China Nights and these tiny chips can be seen in the listing photo.  Using Google translate, I can ascertain the artists for the songs.  They are:  Noboru Kirishima and Michiko Namiki for 2 songs, Watanabe Hamako for 2 song, the Eagle Orchestra for 1 song, and Ichiro Fujiyama for 1 song.
