Description
For auction are four, late 1950's, Blue Note LP's by Jimmy Smith. These records are from an estate. I am not a collector so I can't grade them. I have taken lots of photos of the jackets -- two of which have some water staining and damage to the bottom of the front and back covers (The Sermon and The Sounds). The vinyl all have RVG on the runout and an ear. The labels are all in very good condition. The vinyl shows some wear -- The Sounds has light scratches on both sides and scuff marks on both sides. I have taken a close up of the larger scuff from side 2. The Sermon has similar light scratches and some smaller, lighter scuff marks. Home Cookin and Crazy Baby are in better overall condition with very few light scratches and only one scuff mark that I see on Home Cookin' on tract one of side 2.
The jackets for Home Cookin' and Crazy Baby are in very fine condition. The photos show the back cover damage and staining on The Sermon and The Sounds. The front cover of The Sounds has a very bumped lower right corner but the water staining does not really show on the bright yellow cover. The Sermon front is warped at the lower right corner. I have taken a photo of this.
