( 4 ) Bette Midler Sealed Albums - All Are Manufacturers / Dealers Cut-Outs
That right, even the Divine Ms. M was known to hit the bargain bin back in the day ! These are 4 of those albums. These are sealed in the plastic and all have the cut corners. 3 have the discount stickers on them. Some of the album covers have bent corners. These are not mint album jackets and I would not assume to grade them ( seems a bit subjective to Me ! )
Included: Bette Midler - Atlantic SD 7270 - 1973 Bette Midler - Live At Last 2 Record Set - Atlantic SD 2-9000 - 1977 Bette Midler - Thighs and Whispers - Atlantic SD 16004 - 1979 Bette Midler - Divine Madness - Atlantic SD 16022 - 1980 5 LP's total
If You are unfamiliar with cut-out albums Wiki explains it best: When LPs were the primary medium for the commercial distribution of sound recordings, manufacturers would cut the corner, punch a hole, or add a notch to the spine of the jacket of unsold records returned from retailers; these "cut-outs" might then be re-sold to record retailers or other sales outlets for sale at a discounted price. 45 RPM singles records were usually drilled with a hole through the label, or stamped "C.O.". A special section of a record store devoted to such items was known as the cut-out bin or bargain bin.
These are part of a large Bette Midler collection I am breaking up to sell, lots of photos, movie posters, lobby cards, fan books, press release materials etc. Please see My other auctions and keep watching for much more to come.
