Description

Wow! Up for auction is a set of 4 Highway Hi-Fi 16 2/3 rpm records from 1956. These were made exclusively for the high end Chrysler cars with Highway Hi-Fi record players. The original set had 6 records and come with the vehicle at purchase. This set includes the box, the manual with a listing of all available records and the original order blank for addition records. The included records are,

  • MR1  - Tchaikovsky - The Philadelphia Orchestra - Ippolitov-Ivonov - Brodin
  • MR2 - The Pajama Game
  • CR5 - Andre Kostelanetz and his Orchestra - The Music of Cole Porter - Music of Victor Herbert, and
  • JR3 - Walt Disney's Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier & Gene Autry.
JR3 does not have a sleeve, The Pajama Game sleeve has a name lightly written on the sleeve (see photo). The other sleeves are in very good condition as is the listing of records and the order blank. The records all show minor scuffing and the corners of the box are split. The Davy Crockette record is in a modern sleeve to help protect it.
