Description
Extremely rare soul 45 from 1967. It's in VG++ (EX) condition, with no scuffs, scratches or blemishes, and may be the nicest copy ever offered for sale on-line. Here is some interesting info about this record:

Now, how did I, as a Doo-Wop & R&B vocal group collector, come about owning this record? I bought it in a small record store located on the near northwest side of the Chicago loop. I paid $1.00 for it, but I never heard of it before and thought that it could possibly be a doowop group. A nice white-haired older gentleman owned the store, and he had a small quantity of 78s in the back of the store where I picked up a 78 of "Lights Are Low" by The El Dorados. I seem to remember someone telling me that this store was in the "Old Town" neighborhood of Chicago. It was within walking distance of Bob Koester's Jazz Record Mart on Grand (the original location). I was living in Crown Point Indiana at the time, and carried the record home on the South Shore train via Gary, IN. Much to my disappointment, the Admirations record was not doo-wop, so I just filed it away in my collection where it has remained ever since. This record was originally released as by The Aspirations, then quickly pressed as by The Admirations. Both are extremely rare.
