Description
In 2016 I developed new processes to make disc records. Production technologies and physical properties of the early materials were examined and recreated using modern materials. 5" Berliner reproductions are stronger than gutta percha originals and have similar hardness and density. They look like the originals and feel like them in your hand. The fidelity is the same as the original it was copied from.
This auction is for a reproduction copy of 5" Berliner #31 "A Healthy Boy Was Alfred Jones". The original copy this one came from is in excellent condition and new lyric sheets have been printed on the correct color paper ("rose" for the English market). There may only be two original copies of this disc in existence, and this disc was made from the nicer of the two. The fidelity of this disc is one of the best of 5" Berliners.
