Description

A record about the threat of Russia invading a neighboring country, go figure…. The 5” Berliner discs are literally the first commercially produced disc records. They’re thin, made of hard rubber and play at nearly 100rpm. They’re also virtually impossible to find and are highly sought after by the top collectors of early records. The reproductions that I produce are the your best opportunity to own one, to use for display and to demonstrate on original equipment.

This is a truly unique piece of history, and you will likely never find a copy of this disc other than those I'm listing. This disc is a repressing, made from a rare original in Excellent condition, though the original had a tight crack (shown in the pictures). This disc is also approximately twice as thick as other 5” Berliners (as was the original). It is made of a material which feels and plays like gutta percha. USPS media mail shipping is $3.19 in the continental USA, international shipping is at actual cost. There is only one person in the world crazy enough to make such discs, Don Wilson, Philadelphia, PA.
