Description
This auction is for a collection of 5 Rolling Stones original 60s and 70s LPs.
1, The Rolling Stones No 2 Red unboxed Decca 1965 A2 2nd Press MONO LK 4661
Matrix Side A, XARL-6619-A2, side B, XARL-6620-1A
Sleeve is VG with general light wear, the laminate glossy surface lifting where the creases lie. The record is Good both sides with visible marks on each side and spindle marks on both labels. The record plays through with the light vinyl-typical background noises. Generic antistatic inner sleeve.
2, Beggars Banquet Blue boxed Decca, this copy is probably an early 1969 repress SKL 4955
Matrix Side A, XZAL-8476-2K, Side B, XZAL-8477-2K. The J/T tax code at the bottom of the credits denoting an early 60’s press.
The Sleeve, vinyl, labels and generic stereo antistatic inner sleeve are in VG condition throughout with general wear. It’s been played through and cleaned both sides and it sounds strong and deep, the with only one or two clicks of note that do not interfere with the play though unduly.
3, Aftermath Blue boxed Decca stereo SKL 4786
Matrix Side A, XAL 7209-4W, Side B, XZAL 7210-5W, while not a first press, it’s still a 60s cut.
This is a very nice copy, the vinyl is EX+, looking barely played and only very light spindle marks. The Sleeve is nice and strong and is an easy EX on front and VG+ on the back with one or two light marks. Comes with a generic stereo antistatic inner sleeve that has some staining as well.
4, Between the Buttons Red unboxed Decca MONO LK 4852.
This is an early 1967 repress, Matrix side, XARL 7644 5A, Side B, XARL 76454A
This copy is VG+ throughout with general light wear but over all a nice strong copy that sounds nice and punchy now it’s been cleaned.
5, Get Yer…Blue boxed Decca SKL 50 65
Matrix Side A, XZAL 10076P 3W, Side B, XZAL 10077 1W This copy is an early 70’s repress.
The vinyl sounds great with strong playback and is in VG+ condition with light marks on the vinyl and labels both sides. The Cover is in Good condition, over all it’s not too bad but it has been sympathetically Sellotaped top and bottom.
All our records are cleaned and mailed out in new anti-static sleeves; the original inners are placed inside the covers.
We mail our vinyl in new reinforced cardboard sleeves or you are welcome to collect from us in The New Forest in Hampshire.
