Description
Cannonball Adderley "Somethin' else" U.S. vinyl album Blue Note BLP 1595. Please see pics and use zoom for close ups.
I know a bit (but I'm sure not all) about Blue Note pressings, and as far as I can see this is a 1959 re-press. Plastylite 'P' etched on dead wax area both sides along with die stamped 'RVG' both sides; etched '9M' on B side only. BNLP - 1595 - A-2 / B (no number) etched matrix numbers. I think that covers it, but please ask if I've missed anything.
The record has some light surface marks and has signs of wear, but no deep scratches and is still shiny and in very good condition.
Audiowise it's a treat; side one has occasional VERY slight crackle during play, barely noticeable and certainly nothing that spoils. Side two has a very light click - more of a scrape - for 9 turns at the start of track one and occasional VERY slight crackle during play; once again, nothing that spoils. Overall, still a fab sounding copy of a rare LP.
The laminated cover has a TINY bottom right corner rub and a top spine scuff - see close up pic. Light shelf wear, no creases or splits and is still nice and shiny and in excellent condition. No company inner; long gone! - plain (new) poly lined inner.
