Description
Available at auction are 6 Capitol LP inner sleeves. During the Beatles' and Beach Boys' era Capitol Records used different colored inner sleeves. 3 have no seam-splits.
12 TC is Mustard. This sleeve was used on original issues of "Surfin' USA" and "Surfin' Safari" in 1963. There are no seam-splits.
12 TC-1 is Aqua Blue. This sleeve was used on original issues of "Something New" and "The Beatles' Story". It has a 3" split on the bottom edge center.
PE 12-2AS is Orange Red (Rust). This sleeve was used on "Early Beatles", "Beatles VI", and some "Beatles '65". There are no seam-splits.
PE 12-2EJ is Olive-Green. It was used on "Help" and "Rubber Soul". No seam-splits.
PE 12-3BL is Gold. It was used on original "Yesterday and Today" and "Revolver" issues. The right edge has been scotch taped. There is a 5" seam-split on the bottom-edge center and a 1.5" seam-split on the left edge center. Some wear along the top-edge.
PE12-4BL is Light Brown (Tan). This sleeve was used on Capitol Records original 1967 issues and on Beatles' LP re-issues in 1967. Some think it may have rarely been used on "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Sgt. Pepper's" issues or re-issues. There is a 1/4" seam-split on the left edge and a 1.75" seam-split on the bottom edge and a 1.5" seam-split on the right edge. Promo punch-hole in the upper LH-corner. Some wear on the top edge.
