Description
Pete Cooke and The Baby Dolls - Logo #503
(This Is Your Last Kiss) "Take It And Git" B/W "Home On The Range"
This is one fantastic record by super Soul screamer Pete Cooke & The Baby Dolls! You have to actually hear this to appreciate how Cooke truly puts the "soul" into Soul in 1964. Excellent back-up by "The Baby Dolls" and honkin sax solo. The flip side is a most amazing arrangement of the old cowboy classic "Home On The Range." That song was written in the late 19th century by a homesteader in Kansas and I'll bet he never dreamed it would ever be sung like this! Cooke really cooks it and once again a drivin sax solo. The record is Very Near Mint. I've only played it once. I've only seen one other record pressed on this light blue vinyl and that is on the "Amy" label by Ritchie Cordell and I aquired both of them from the same radio station back in the mid 1970's. The deep gold print on the label may be difficult to read on this scan.
This item will be shipped USPS First Class Mail within the United States for a fee of $2.95. International Buyers please contact us for a shipping quote.
Our Record Grading System-
VG is “Very Good,” this means the record has been played, maybe even stored in a stack or records and has minor surface wear but has a good sheen on the vinyl and plays well with minimal surface pops or noise. The label is in near perfect condition unless specifically noted.
VG+ Is better than VG
Excellent is close to Mint but has been played and may look Mint.
Mint is a record that has never been played and or shows absolutely no visible or audio sign of ever having a needle in the groove.
I do not list any records that are not at least a VG grade according to this grading method. I do understand that many collectors have different opinions regarding how records are graded according to condition. This can be a subjective art.
