Johnny Sayles (1937 - 1993)

Compared to the dozen or so singles that Johhny Sayles had released at home, his UK output is pretty none-existant. In fact, until Soul City put out the first legal release of "I Can't Get Enough (Of Your Love)", back in 2004, this single was the only time that a 45 by Mr. Sayles graced British shops. None of his others, on One-derful!, Chi-Town, Chess, Dakar, Brunswick, etc, had travelled to the UK, apart from onto CD. The US source of this one was his only release on Minit, put out early in the life of Liberty's revamped subsidiary. It's UK outing appeared during EMI's series of 'Soul Supply' releases; although the type-setter made the unforgiveable mistake of crediting a certain 'Mark Higgins' as arranger!

Both sides have full youtube postings for the uninitiated.

The record has just a few very light "spiders webs", and the play condition is well above excellent. There are a couple of clicks during the A-side run-in, which have stopped before the music kicks in.

Both labels are almost immaculate, with just a touch of very, very minor wear around the spindle hole. It has an intact four-pronged centre, complete with sale terms and conditions.

This record has been played on both sides to verify condition, but there's a full money-back guarantee on all my sales, and I'll refund anyone who isn't totally captivated.
