I CONFESS TO NOT KNOWING TOO MUCH ABOUT WHAT CONSTITUTES A GOOD POPCORN DANCER, SO I'M GOING TO BE VERY BRIEF HERE (HOORAY); BILL COURTNEY RELEASED A HANDFUL OF SINGLES IN THE LATE 50s/EARLY 60s, TWO OF WHICH WERE EVEN RELEASED OVER HERE IN HAROLD MACMILLAN'S BRITAIN - BUT NOT THIS ONE, WHICH WOULD APPEAR TO BE HIS SWANSONG; THE RHYTHM AND TEMPO LEANS VERY HEAVILY ON A "SIXTEEN TONS" APPROACH, AND NOT ONE DROP OF PERSPIRATION IS EVIDENT IN BILL'S LAID-BACK DELIVERY; THIS SINGLE IS CURRENTLY BOOKED AS HIGH AS £100, AND WILL PROBABLY BE SNAPPED UP IN POPCORN-FRIENDLY BELGIUM; NOTE THAT I DO SELL TO EUROPEAN BIDDERS, DESPITE THE INVOCATION OF THE DREADED ARTICLE 50!
