Here is one of the few 1903 Columbia Grand Opera discs we have been able to offer.  The surface of the record is fairly clean - there are some light marks, but no heavy scratches, needle runs, pits, cracks or chips.  Right near the beginning there is a small score which will briefly cause some noise.  There are some stressed grooves in the latter half of the recording that will cause some blasting.  The use of a proper size stylus will reduce this.  The label is clean with just a little wear in the center.  Considering the groove wear and the score, I'll grade it a 6 on a scale of 10.  Not a top copy, but still quite playable.
