LABEL: Imperial 9222 (1963 Mono)
TITLE: Meet The Majors
CONDITION:
Sleeve: The front & back covers are VG++ w/ a little light ring wear, mostly on the bottom of the front cover. Has some top seam, spine & corner wear w/ one tiny split. The top seam has 5 3/4" clean clear tape at the top right corner. The worst part of the cover is a 7 1/2" bottom seam split
Record: Retains decent gloss w/ a fair amount of light surface scuffs and some light surface scratches but none of any consequence. It plays a great VG++ w/ a little light random background surface noise and some light random background ticks. Has great sound presence. / VPI cleaned
COMMENTS: Original black & rainbow pinwheel label mono pressing. This LP features the incredible vocals of Ricky Cordo and the producing & arranging skills of the legendary Jerry Ragavoy. This LP contains a couple of Northern Soul tracks - She's a Troublemaker & What in the World as well as some fine proto Soul tracks.
The Majors are : Ricky Cordo (lead singer), Ronald Gathers, Eugene Glass, Frank Trout, and Idella Morris
