Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +21,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. • Emerged right on the cusp when the Surf Rock scene was turning over to a grittier howlin' Garage Rocker revolution, so you get the best of
  • both worlds with the raw and talented Y E T T I   M E N
    btw ~
    This marvelous & extremely RARE Lp happens to be a double sided split album. The Yetti Men on side Two, The Uppa Trio on side One
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Here's one of the all-time surf-rock/garage-rock gems from the Yetti-Men - it's highlighted by the absolutely haunting "High Himilaya." Check it out on youtube and that gets you the flavor displayed by these
  • Y E T T I   M E N
    Total reverb guitar dominated cookers, all tracks rate inspired, driven & high!
    the Y E T T I's reportedly recorded their set in the gym of a high school where all the members were still students.
     Y E T T I   M E N
    the Y E T T I  MEN sound is highly charismatic "crude & primitive" just the way fans of garage-rock '60s like it....if the reverb drenched guitar doesn't do it for you then raw garage rock might not be your thing.
  • The flip side featuring the Uppa Trio gets maligned by critics but for all practical purposes being a folk guitar trio - they hold their own in that genre.
  • However, make no mistake, the album is all about the fabulous Y E T T I  MEN...
  • and the FAN-MAN speaks:
    From Minnetonka Minnesota, The Yetti-Men line-up consisted of Lee Hanson (lead guitar), Henry "Skip" Webster (rhythm guitar), Joel Peterson (bass), Brian Mahin (winds, keyboards), and Jim Robinson (drums).
  • No information could be found to identify the musicians in the Uppa Trio. A close look at the photograph of the Uppa Trio shows that the head of the guitar player was "photo-shopped" into the photo.
  • As far as the near-equally obscure Y E T T I  MEN, at least six tracks were laid on tape in February and March of 1964. These were: High Himalaya, Wine Wine Wine, My Baby Left Me, Blue Surfer, Yep, and Break Time. A total of 500 copies of the album were pressed at the Kay Bank Pressing Plant in Minneapolis. This record has never been reissued in any format.
  1.   CONDITION:
  2. The cover: rated: VG++ pretty clean actually, only minor wear, nothing much at all, bit of seam/cover rub. Remains a delightful rarity that barely shows up and not getting any easier to find. 500 copies pressed 60 years ago and only sold at local YETTI's club gigs = reflects the obvious being a prize in any condition... There are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing ... this could be the cool valuable and investment relic you hoped for.
  1. The vinyl: Rated: VG++ lots of bright shine remains and only very light soft scuffs when play grade is thoroughly enjoyable, plays without any major issues largely no surface noticed. Both (MONO) KAL labels are pretty clean = SEE !!!
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
SEE: SELLERS OTHER ITEMS (((similar grooves for "head" people...)))
