1969 Decca Records, 12 inch, 33 1/3 RPM Stereo LP, Cat. #DL 75231 , First Pressing, Black Label with Silver and Light Blue Print / Multi-Colored band across the center. Featuring: Clyde McPhatter (The Drifters). Titled: "Welcome Home". Song Titles Include: Please Give Me One More Chance, Anyone Can Tell (We're In Love), Why Can't We Get Together, Someone To Believe In, I'll Belong To You, The Tiew That Bind, Our Day Will Come, The Mixed Up Cup, If You Only Knew, A Mothers Love, Mr. Heartache and Book Of Memories.

If you're not familiar with this artist/Title, here's some additional information: "Clyde McPhatter was one of the most influential R&B singers of the '50s and early '60s. In his own time, his name and voice loomed so much larger than that of the group the Drifters, which he founded, that it took five years for them to recover from his departure. McPhatter was idolized by Black audiences as few singers before or since ever were, and for almost 15 years helped define rhythm & blues and its transformation into soul. This Decca release from 1969 is a great example of Northern Soul / Uptempo Modern Soul from one of the early R&B masters. The song "The Mixed Up Cup" was sampled by A Tribe Called Quest."

The Vinyl is Near Mint (9-9.5 of 10) in condition. With Original Decca Paper Inner Sleeve. The Shrink wrap is intact and in excellent condition. The cover is very nice. The only issues to report: a small delete/drill hole near the upper left corner. Nothing serious on this 40 year old LP!!.
