1) "Dream of a Lifetime" Marvin Gaye CBS SBP 8047 Stereo 1985 Disc condition - Clean & shiny, just a few edge scuffs, no obvious marks or scratches on playing surface. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Plastic sleeve inside a paper sleeve printed with colour photos. Cover - Excellent, virtually no corner & edge wear or rub, minor ring rub. 2) "Midnight Love" Marvin Gaye CBS SBP 237863 Stereo 1982 Disc condition - Clean & shiny, no obvious marks or scratches. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Plastic sleeve inside a paper sleeve printed with song lyrics. Cover - Good, minor ring rub, minor corner & edge wear, has several definite creases. 3) "In Our Lifetime" Marvin Gaye Motown T 8374 1981 Disc condition - Clean & shiny, some edge scuffing, no obvious marks or scratches on playing surface. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Plastic. Cover - Very good, some surface & rim rub, small amount of corner & edge wear. 4) "Let's Get It On" Marvin Gaye Motown M5-192V1 "Originally released 8/28/73" Disc condition - Clean & shiny, some minor edge scuffs & maybe a very light long scuff on Side 2, no other obvious marks or scratches. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Paper printed with album covers & "Motown Pop Quiz". Cover - Very good, very minor edge & corner wear, minor minor rim rub/wear, a couple of creases across lower RH corner. 5) "Greatest Hits" Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell Tamla TS 302 Stereo 1970 Disc condition - Clean & shiny, a few minor edge scuffs but I can't pick up any obvious marks or scratches on the playing surface. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Paper. Cover - Very good, very little wear at all, minor corner wear, minor surface & ring rub, minor discolouration to the white surface of back cover. 6) "Irresistible" Tammi Terrell Motown M5-231V1 Stereo "Originally released 1/6/69" Disc condition - Looks clean but quite a bit of edge scuffing, no obvious marks or scratches on playing surface. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Paper printed with album covers. Cover - Excellent, very little wear at all, very minor corner wear, minor rim rub.
My mother-in-law has gone into supported accommodation & among other things, we need to get rid of her record collection. I will also be listing LPs inherited from my husband's brother, who was a fan of African American R&B and jazz artists.
I do worry about accurately stating the condition of the records. I am unable to play the records but will look at them carefully in a well lit room in daylight (no artificial lighting), listing any obvious faults. All records are second hand/used/played & I have noticed that almost all, if held under direct sunlight or inside downlighting, will show very fine, light scratches/marks scattered over the surface. These do not show in normal room lighting & will not be mentioned in my descriptions & may be present even when the record appears "clean & shiny". Because I can't play the records, I will not be able to tell if the records sound scratchy or have any pops, crackles or background "noise". Although my listings carry a "no refunds" policy, please contact me via email if you buy a record that disappoints because you feel my description is inaccurate & I will organise a refund.
I ship LPs in a padded postal envelope with extra bubble wrap & cardboard around record. A purchase of more than 3 LPs (or that doesn't fit into a padded post bag) is shipped wrapped in bubble wrap, inside a cardboard sleeve. I will be happy to combine postage (please email for costs) if you are purchasing more than one item & will hold any item you have won until the end of any future auction on which you are bidding.
