SHIRLEY COLLINS: "The Foggy Dew and Other English Songs"

This is a 7" EP. recorded in 1959 and released no doubt shortly afterwards. There is no publication date but the photograph and everything about the record is consistent with that date.

The songs are "The Berkshire Tragedy"; "The Foggy Dew"; "Geordie" and "Brigg Fair"

Shirley Collins plays the banjo as well, and is accompanied by Robin Hall (guitar)

The sleevenotes are by Peter Kennedy of the English Folk Dance and Song society

CONDITION: SLEEVE: All edges are intact and clean, slight crease to the top right hand corner rear which is not visible from the front. Very slight foxing /yellowing to the front open edge; DISC Near Mint: there is one small superficial (silent) graze on the surface, possibly from a fingernail but it is hardly visible and certainly does not sound. Otherwise the disc looks as if it has barely been out of its sleeve.
