CONDITION
VINYL :- certainly could be better however the lack of spindle marks indicates the numerous scuff marks are attributable to the record not replaced within its cover / no pops or skips / some intermittent background crackle more noticeable on Side-B / still, it plays along fine and definitely worth acquiring as you may never see better ... if ever / Rated VGLABELS :- clean
SLEEVE :- a clean front / some wear to the corners and minor creasing / no splits and the spine is intact / a faint touch of ring-wear but no big deal / a previous owners name on the back cover / overall it presents OK but it is so rare a sleeve that you wouldn’t think twice about grabbing it in anycase.
DESCRIPTION
A reasonable pressing of this impossible to find one and only EP released by Aussie pop-rock outfit ZOOT comprising Daryl Cotton, Beeb Birtles, Rick Springfield and Rick Brewer.This mega-rare 60’s EP features the A-sides of the bands first 4 singles when they were still very much entwined in the ‘Think Pink- Think Zoot’ advertising campaign which saw their lightweight / bubblegum-pop songs rocket to the top of the charts supported by screaming hordes of teenage girls who mobbed them at every appearance.
Musically the group was still infantile and as they dispensed (rather theatrically too) with their pink image releasing some powerhouse hard-rock / heavy metal material it sadly wasn’t enough to keep the group afloat.
Birtles of course went on to co-found The Little River band whilst Rick Springfield found fame and fortune on TV and recording in the USA.
A mega-rare item for collectors in any sort of condition.
