Description
I bought this from a friend. This is a real shellac record, created in 2021 by making a mold from the original 1898 Berliner. It's a hard resin material and plays just like a genuine shellac disc from that era. Compared to the "real" Berliners in my collection, the background noise is less prominent and the music louder/clearer...it sounds better than my Berliners that have sustained 125+ years of surface damage.
This record is 7 inches. An historically significant record Berliner # E 5024, one of the first disc records to be recorded and/or pressed outside the U.S. Will E. Bates cornet solo, playing "International Medley".
