60s CHICAGO NORTHERN SOUL/CROSSOVER

SUPERB GROUP TWO-SIDER

WAS THIS THE EARLIER RELEASE?

I THINK I'M CORRECT IN ASSUMING THIS TO BE A COPY OF THE EARLIER OF THE TWO LABEL DESIGNS. IT BEARS NO MENTION OF THE ACTUAL GROUP ANYWHERE IN THE CREDITS (JUST READING "PATTI HAMILTON ON VOCALS"), AND  HAS "MY BABY LOVES ME" AS THE OFFICIAL B-SIDE. THE SECOND VARIATION HAS "PATTI HAMILTON & THE LOVELITES" BILLED AS THE FEATURED ACT, AND "MY BABY LOVES ME" PROMOTED TO THE A-SIDE. IT SEEMS FEASIBLE THAT THE EARLIER COPIES WERE THOSE WHICH OMITTED THE GROUP NAME.

I'VE DONE A CUT AND PASTE OF BOTH DESIGNS BELOW:

Vinyl

Label condition (A-side): Spotless

Label condition (B-side): Spotless

Deletion hole: No

The vinyl on the A-side has a noticeable scuff across the edge, plus a medium number of light marks elsewhere. The B-side has a small dimple in the vinyl melt, and a criss-crossing of similar marks to the A-side (visual condition).

The A-side has the odd light tick (more frequent towards the end), but mostly plays excellent or above. The B-side plays almost like new throughout (sound quality).

Both labels are so close to immaculate to call.

This record has been played on both sides to verify condition, but there's a full money-back guarantee on all my sales, and I'll refund anyone who isn't totally captivated. Most are sent by 'signed for' delivery (inclusive in the P&P cost).
