The 1970s gave us so many great bands. We were nursing a hangover after the psychedelic 60s, and were looking for new and excitings bands to love. Think about it, during the 70s, there was punk, funk, hard rock and heavy metal, soft rock, r&b and soul, disco, early electronica, and many more genres. The music of the 70s can be considered extremely diverse, if nothing else!
In today's rockin' good deal, you'll get a TRIPLE SHOT of 70s rock bands, on picture disc LPs! Two are used, and one has never been opened or played! First up is the Steve Miller Band, and their smash hit album from 1977, titled 'Book of Dreams'. That one is the beautiful and colorful Pagasus artwork, with the same pic on both sides. This comes in its original die-cut sleeve, and that sleeve is still sealed! The jacket sleeve is looking a bit rough in spots, but still intact. Hole cut out. (Picture of the Steve Miller Band pic disc is a stock photo, to show you the artwork.) Celebrating its FORTY FIVE year anniversary this year!
Next up is the Seattle rockers Heart, and their 1978 rock masterpiece 'Dreamboat Annie'. Released on the tiny Mushroom Records label, this LP saw the band gaining airplay, and Heart fans began their decades long love affair with the Wilson sisters! Next year will see this vintage album turn FORTY FIVE years old! This is used, and will come in its original die-cut sleeve that's not looking too bad. The vinyl itself has a few very, very light surface marks that are hardly noticeable. Overall, still all shiny and clean! Same pic on both sides, and a clear rim is around both sides, as well. A sweet Heart collectible!
Last in this awesome triple shot of 70s rock pic discs is Peter Frampton, and his 1977 album 'I'm in You'! Frampton began his decades long illustrious career with The Herd, Humble Pie, and Frampton's Camel, but saw massive success in the 70s as a solo artist. Yet another album that turns FORTY FIVE years old in 2022! This comes in its original clear PVC jacket, with hype sticker. Frampton was riding the wave of success that he experienced after that mega-million selling live album was burning up the charts, ('Frampton Comes Alive'). 'I'm In You' gave us the title track that charted, and his covers of a couple of R&B classics "(I'm a) Roadrunner", and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours)" received regular airplay!
The perfect gift for fans of 70s rock, and those that love 70s music in general, fans of Steve Miller, Heart, and Peter Frampton, as well as collectors of classic rock picture discs. Or you can always add to that awesome vinyl collection you've started! With classic 70s rock 12" picture discs, you just can't go wrong!
