We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Blow by Blow served as a new creative peak for Beck and is, to date, his most commercially successful release. Offering a one-two punch of ingenious production and imaginative soloing, the wonderfully unpredictable guitar genius meshes stinging jazz-rock with string arrangements and energetic rhythm for You Know What I Mean; Constipated Duck; Air Blower; Scatterbrain ; The BIG hit: Cause We've Ended as Lovers; Thelonius; Freeway Jam; Diamond Dust , and a clever arrangement of Lennon and McCartney's She's a Woman.
This 1975 scarce BRITISH original release is a high-water mark for Jeff Beck and the beginning of his “fusion-jazz rock” phase. To be honest though, this really isn’t jazz rock in the sense of the term. It swings. It grooves. It’s also playful – this album is a lot of fun to listen to.
The tunes are well-written, Jeff has a pretty tight band backing him up – especially like the rhythm section. The drummer is excellent, and while not a virtuoso, the bassist plays crisp and tasteful lines; highlighted are the tone he gets (sounds like a Fender Precision bass). The keyboard parts are great – lot of Fender Rhodes and (very funky) clavinet. It provides a nice backdrop. And of course we have the maestro himself Jeff Beck – the timbre, texture, and tone he gets out of his guitar is extraordinary. His playing alternately burns and is bittersweet, achieving a style no one can get close to; vibrato-bar mastery sends notes quivering in all directions enhancing the basic progressions.
The moods on this album are varied, still achieving breakneck tempos, shredding, and odd chords/time signatures.
The production quality is excellent (thank you Sir George Martin). There does not appear to be any compression or distortion – the recording does not seem to be a victim of the loudness wars. There is also pretty good separation of instruments although sometimes the keyboards get buried (maybe that's intended as Beck is masterful beyond the rest.) Also, the bass can get a bit loud here and there and most will appreciate this mix. The drums sound spectacular throughout as noted!
All in all, this is one of the finest albums by Jeff Beck when all things fell into place for the inventive guitarist.

CONDITION: The cover: Rated: "EX" (excellent) and better which is great for this very fragile UK cover having everything in order as a keeper copy; The seams are solid, (no seam splits), no faded colors, no bends, no writing ...
The vinyl: Rated: "EX" (excellent) and better, M- audio has a light scuff line and careful, but general light visual use elsewhere, plays tight & sound with no audio interference. After 44 years played M- / enjoyable throughout here - and should for you as well. Both UK Epic labels are clean with exception of tiny wear at top left side one, not picking up on camera as it's so light/little, but there if look hard. Otherwise labels are real clean.
