Description
DESCRIPTION: This is the 1975 Elton John MCA vinyl LP entitled " Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy. This is the original U.S. pressing that has been certified 3x Platinum. This album inserts included are: (a) the original 16 page Booklet entitled " Lyrics " (with lyrics, photos and acknowledgments); (b) The original 16 page booklet entitled " Scraps "(with clippings, comic strips, photos, etc.) and (3) the original 16.5" x 22" Captain Fantastic Poster (as folded when new). All 3 inserts are close to NM condition or better (Rare to find this used LP complete with all 3 inserts).
VINYL CONDITION: The shiny vinyl is very clean with a very few light scuffs likely from the sleeve. It plays very well throughout. Included is the apparent original generic inner sleeve. We rates the vinyl condition as Excellent (EX) under Goldmine guidelines.
JACKET CONDITION: The outer gatefold jacket (outer sleeve) is in nice overall shape however does have spots on lower front and lower back where an older re-sale sticker was removed leaving residue and some blemish to the finish(see photo). All seams are fully intact. The corners exhibit some softening from past storage. The inner gatefold area is very clean with great photos. A new poly slip-on outer sleeve is included to help preserve this gem for another 42+ years. Overall we rate this jacket condition as Very Good Plus (VG+) using Goldmine Guidelines.
