                                       Superb copy of Dixieland Jug Blowers Victor from their June 1927 session.  Don't be put off by the sentimental song titles.  These are pleasant surprises - energetic, tasteful performances of melodies that stray from the formulated repertoire of the time, as were several sides by the DJB.   Music clear and articulate with quiet surface.
