Description

Up for auction is a 1957 New Orleans rhythm & blues / rock & roll 78 rpm record by Huey Piano Smith & The Clowns on Mississippi based label Ace #530.

 

The sides are Rocking Pneumonia & The Boogie Woogie Flu Pt. 1 / Pt. 2 (Instrumental version). 

 

If someone wins both of my Ace 78 listings (the other being Earl King with Huey Piano Smith on Ace 509 "Those Lonely, Lonely Nights, then I will ship both for free)

 

I am listing some records from several 78 rpm hunting trips throughout the South & Midwest.

Grading System:

  • NM = near new condition
  • E = barely played, extremely close to near new condition
  • VG = played, but not abused condition, should play very well, may have light scratches, scuffs
  • G = well played, but should play pretty well, will have deeper scratches, scuff; may have some background noise, scratches, scuffs, wear
  • P = well used, pretty bad condition, lots of background noise

Grades VG- with decent gloss and good sound. Has light marks & scratches and a small pressing bubble that tracks flawlessly near the beginning of side 1. Good player. Labels are white...photo had to be snapped without flash so as not to be washed out.
