"At The Mobiloil Broadcast" - 12-inch, two-sided 78rpm Victor Record Recorded ca. early February 1930, Parts 1 & 2 . . Victor mx. 58646 / 58645 Featured artists are Nathaniel Shilkret & Mobiloil Concert Orchestra. Lewis James, vocalist. Announcer introduces selections: Lewis James sings "Romance Road" with Orchestra (written by Shilkret for program) Orchestra plays "Pomp and Circumstance" Part 2, Orchestra plays "Medley of Famous Melodies" Mobil Oil commercial by announcer. Following part 2 medley, announcer states "You've just heard a sample. ." of a Mobiloil broadcast . . . This record is apparently a private recording that was sent to Mobiloil distributors or dealers, to illustrate how their product will be advertised during radio broadcast programs. Excellent condition, very well recorded, and plays beautifully. Media Mail is $7.00, and not any differing amount that might erroneously appear within this listing.
