This lot of comedy phonograph spans about 50 years. Although some are inappropriate by today's standards, they help document the evolution of comedy throughout the early- to mid- 1900's.

Highlights include an autographed copy of Uncle Johnny Coons "Automatic Mouse-Trap", Billy Murray's "When you're wearing the ball and chain", and Helen Kane's "Thats My Weakness Now". Her appearance and voice were the inspiration for the Betty Boop cartoons. In addition, a later 4-record set, Columbia records "Circus", possibly from the 1940's, rounds out the records being offered.

Records are mostly untested and sold as is with no returns. Some obvious visual flaws were played to help judge their effect on sound quality. These are noted in the list of recordings below. Shipping via Media Mail at buyers expense. Records will be shipped in recycled but sturdy egg boxes. No charge for materials or packing.

Columbia C7203 (1950's) Uncle Johnny Coons- Automatic Mouse-Trap (autographed record with original sleeve- sleeve has tears around the edges and one on Mr Coons face but presents well overall- the record itself looks good with minor wear)

Puritan 2053 Dan Quinn- Life is a Merry Go 'Round/ Round her neck She Wears a Yellow Ribbon( tiny edge chip and significant needle dig near start)- (record shows  lots of wear both sides)

Regal MR468 Billy Cotton and his Gang- Eleven More Months and Ten More Days- Part 1 and 2- (UK record with dealer sleeve- torn across bottom-record looks good w a few minor scuffs/scratches)

Regal MR176 Will Fyffe- Daft Sandy part 1 and 2- (UK- nice record)

HMV 2170 Frank Crumit- I Married the Bootleggers Daughter/Sonya- (UK record- very little wear- shiny)

Town Lounge Club Bozo St. Clair- Frankie and Johnny/I Walk the Streets (has a tight 1" crack at start-lite clicks both sides but not too distracting. Dirty at edge-- Record is rated PG...

Cameo 643 Bob Haring and Orch- Laff it Off ( needle run on lbl)/Prince of Wails (lite scratches)

Victor 21557 Helen Kane- That's My Weakness Now (needle dig about 1 1/4" into the grooves- clicks but plays thru/Get Out and Get Under the Moon (there is a barely visible edge crack 1/2"- inaudible)

Victor 17679 Billy Murray- When You're Wearing The Ball and Chain/Ada Jones/Billy Murray- The Whole Town's Wise (nice overall)

Victor 17222 Nat Wills- "No News" or "What Killed the Dog"(looks good)/ The Three Trees (2 needle digs- loud clicks but play thru)

Victor V-40153 Bud Billings Carson and Robison- Barnacle Bill the Sailor No. 3/ Went to See My Gal Last Night (lite scuffs/scratches but mostly shiny)

Victor 17955 Arthur Collins- If You've Got a Little Bit/When You're Down in Louisville (lite scuffs/scratches but nice overall)

Victor 16519 Steve Porter- The Laughing Spectator/Signor "Grinderino"- Harrigan Medley (star shaped crack in lbl area but not in grooves- also has lite scratches)

Victor 17935 Dan W Quinn- Hello! Boys, I'm Back Again (scratch near end clicks) /At the Fountain of Youth

Victor 18398 Marion Harris- When I Hear that Jazz Band Play/Collins and Harlan- Lily of the Valley (few lite scratches but good overall)

10"-Columbia Moran and Mack- Crows 1-6 and In the Jailhouse (4 records total- all look good- lite wear- #4 has a tiny lam crack barely into grooves- #2 has a nice Olson Music House- Muskegon, MI dealer sticker on lbl)

12"- Columbia 50061 Moran and Mack- Our Child (2 short lam cracks at start inaudible)/ Elder Eatmore's Sermon on Throwing Stones ( needle dig 2/3 through record sticks- lite scratch 3/4" at start inaudible)
