Description
78 RPM LABEL: Columbia 1769 TITLES: You Wouldn't Fool Me Would You/ Lover Come Back to Me ARTIST: Annette Hanshaw CONDITION: E-, has scratches which do not sound due to the Columbia laminated pressings, and a small rim chip which has no affect on play
NOTES- Hanshaw rarely made it to the "big" label- Columbia- mostly recording for the subsidiaries, so this one is quite rare NOTES- Annette Hanshaw was a favorite vocalist of the mid 1920s-mid 1930s. She sang with many jazz bands, dance bands, Hawaiian bands and straight vocals. She recorded under a variety of pseudonyms such as Gay Ellis, Dot Dare, as well as her own name. Fortunately most of Annette's records were made for the Columbia family of labels which used laminated pressings, so they mostly sound better than they look as the surface wear is diminished by the laminated surface
