Description

78 rpm jazz, hot dance band from the 1920s jazz age, and 1930s big band era.. 78 rpm rock and roll from the final years of the 78 era-the 1950s
Song titles: Baby, It's Cold Outside/ My Heart Beats Faster
artist: Esther Williams and Ricardo Montalban/ Ricardo Montalban (he could have sung the B side on Star Trek as Kahn when he was being revived)
Label: MGM 30197(promo)
approx year of issue: 1949
grade: M-
other info: other info: written in the mid 1940s, and released on record in the late 40s, the song has a new found controversy as through modern eyes its seen as a sexist song, where a guy is not letting a woman leave a cozy setting despite her pleadings. This song took on a new life in the recent past as kind of a theme song for the #metoo movement, which led to other movements for social change. This version is performed by the composer and his wife. Innocent at the time, but full of double entendres, hidden meanings, and NOW controversy!

Jazz records are play graded using the standard jazz record grading system of N(new),E(excellent),V(very good), with + and - for a little more or less

They are play graded on a modern turntable using a new Stanton 2.7 mil stylus. I have been collecting, buying, selling, packing and shipping for decades so have experience in all of these aspects, so please feel free to bid with confidence!

Winner pays postage at cost. Domestic and international bidders welcome. Paypal accepted. Please see other auctions for more 78s as I am happy to combine shipping to save postage. Media mail shipping in the US...First Class International for overseas..plus $3 per parcel to help offset the cost of new boxes, cardboards, packing material..That charge is per box, not per record, so multiple wins shipped together are economical!

Thanks
