Description
78 rpm- Victor 24700- Ray Noble Orchestra with Al Bowlly vocals- Midnight, the Stars and You/ Just An Hour Ago This Minute. Recorded in 1934. Not only one of the most beautiful records of the dance band era, and a top vocal, but this record got a second life by its use in the 1980 Stanley Kubrick psychological horror film, The Shining. The haunting tune was played in one of the key scenes where Jack Torrence, played by Jack Nicholson is in the hotel bar- I'll leave the explanation to the experts! The late Shelley Duvall and Danny Lloyd also star.
The record is in E excellent condition for the most part. it has a VERY few tiny scratches, so part is E-(record collector grade for slightly less than E), but is mostly E. A perfectly fine copy of a very hard to get record
They are play graded on a modern turntable using a new Stanton 2.7 mil stylus. I have been collecting, buying, selling, packing and shipping for decades so have experience in all of these aspects, so please feel free to bid with confidence!
Winner pays postage at cost. Domestic and international bidders welcome. Media mail shipping in the US...First Class International for overseas..plus $4 per parcel to help offset the cost of new boxes, cardboards, packing material..
Thanks
