Our GRADING for pskorst and bigbillkorst (our sister record ebay names) is E+ (or NM) rarely use on 78s, E, E-, V+, V, V- and Poor. strict grading Packing We ship these antique, fragile shellac records in cardboard squares surrounded by padding, floating inside a 12" x 12" x 5" box. We have had few problems with damage on the many 1000s of records we have shipped so far. Peter
78RPM Mercury 71060 The Diamonds, Little Darlin' / Faithful And True, clean V+. This c1957 record is mild to medium wear and few mild flaws, everything is light to mild and minor on this, all surfacy benign and minor marks / scuffs, no real scratches of any kind, just some mildish-medium wear on this (thats the worst thing on the shellac)--mild to medium wear, see my 12 photos above to judge the surfaces for yourself. It does have little edge chips (7th picture)--none of these edge dings reach the playing grooves. I played the Little Darlin' side all the way through and I heard few to no clicks and no glitches, it played all the way through fine--I am no expert on noise and sound/ play grading--I normally just visually grade these 78s---it sounded like a 78 to me--some noise (they all have noise)--not overwhelming--sounded pretty normal to me, only have 1 of this. Graded visually. Spindle holes are fine, the Little Darlin' label has a damage area above the hole--see pictures, otherwise the labels are fine mild. Will be in a pretty nice original Mercury sleeve (a mild stain on the bottom) is worst I see, the seams and edges are pretty nice. This comes from a great old record collection.
