He became a celebrated figure in the concert world, frequently performing as the lead tenor for major regional music festivals across the UK, including Leeds, Sheffield, and Birmingham, In 1901, he was the supporting artist to the legendary soprano Adelina Patti in Sheffield. During that same year, he made exactly seven extremely rare acoustic recordings for the Gramophone and Typewriter Company (G&T), Because he was heavily praised by contemporary critics for his "purity and robustness," he was widely tipped to be the successor to the great Victorian tenor Edward Lloyd. However, historical accounts note that Green was never entirely satisfied with how those early G&T sessions captured his voice. On a personal note, he is also the father of the famous British actor and Gilbert & Sullivan star, Martyn Green.

GradingVJM grading (played and visual). I have been collecting for over 35 years and am well versed in grading and 78's in general. Obviously I cannot account for your equipment - grading is subjective, but rest assured I grade carefully and honestly.
