Description

This auction is for Ebony Records 78rpm #1000 "Cow Cow Blues" /"Vicksburg Blues" by Little Brother Montgomery and his Vicksburgers. The label lists Cow Cow as "Vocal Jump Blues" and Vicksburg as "Vocal Blues" - 'Plunkie' Montgomery. Ebony was a small Chicago label. This record is unplayed store stock that I bought about 15 years ago, from the stock of a record store that had been open since the 1940s. This is an original pressing from the 1950s. I would grade this as Excellent or better - I doubt it has ever been played and the vinyl is shiny. I'll describe any minor problems: LABEL: on the Cow Cow Blues side there is a small scuff near the hole, on the Vicksburg Blues side there is a minor scuff to the right of "Records". Record: there is light dust 2" x 1/2" on one side which would correspond with the cut at the top of the sleeve, the record sat in the sleeve and got some dust on it (I haven't tried to clean it) - there are a few very light, small scuff marks that are probably from taking it out of the sleeve. A HARD-TO-FIND SMALL CHICAGO LABEL! Postage is $4.00. Check out my other auctions for several other 78rpm records on the Ebony label, all unused store stock.
