Description
Very collectable 10” 78rpm disk from 1947 featuring Edith Piaf - Columbia DC415.
Side A: La Vie En Rose – Condition is VG+ with and a few light marks and scratches. The disk plays through well with just the usual surface noise for a shellac disk of this age, but I did notice a couple of clicks just nearing the end, but these sound feintly rather than being prominent.
Side B: Un Retrain Courait Dans La Rue – Condition generally is the same as the A side but there is a visible scratch (see images) which does sound for about 45 seconds in the middle of the track.
Bright, clean labels with no writing. Robust card sleeve in very good condition with no writing, branded “The Gramophone Exchange Ltd" (see images)
NOTE: Test played on specialist hi-fi equipment with light weight pick-up, not steel needle.
