Description

A pair of unusual war-time 78rpm jazz records - 2 records featuring Teddy Weatherford & His Boys as accompaniment on vocal records, recorded in India and ONLY ISSUED IN INDIA. The first oddity is a Indian HMV N. 4496 featuring a member of the U.S. Air Force, apparently stationed in India during WWII ( ! ). The singer is "Bob Lee, U.S.A.F." singing two numbers from the film 'Cover Girl'… "Long Ago (and Far Away)" / "Make Way For Tomorrow" with Teddy Weatherford & His Boys providing accompaniment. Condition is V++ to E- and plays well. The second record is Indian Columbia FB. 40135 featuring a pair of rumbas sung by "Paquita and Zarate".. "The Magic Of You" / "Yours" .. both sides having matrix numbers that fit within a series recorded by Weatherford in India during 1942. This record is V to V+ and still plays pretty well. There is a rim chip on one side that clicks a couple of times, but the clicking stops before the music begins (see 5th photo) .. See label photos for other details. Bid is for both as a lot. Media Mail is $8.00 in U.S., and not any lesser amount that may erroneously appear in listing. Postage extra outside U.S., to be calculated for invoice. England / Europe approx. $31.00 Winner PLEASE do not pay until you receive my invoice, to allow proper postage to be applied.
