Lot of 8 Aluminum FAIRCHILD Records 33 & 78 RPM 1938 Orations Speeches
This is a set of eight 10" aluminum records with recordings of various high school students giving orations about different chosen subjects for what may have been a series of speech competitions.
These were recorded at events at University of Kentucky in 1938. The speakers all are from high schools around Kentucky, and their accents are what's most interesting to listen to.
Speeds vary. Some are at 33 and some are at 78 RPM. Sound quality also varies. Sometimes it has moderate surface noise, and sometimes it doesn't. They are all listenable.
Each student gives a different oration, and it's interesting to hear the various subjects chosen in 1938. Pre-war 1938.
