8-Lot The Who First Pressing 45’s, DECCA Laels and Company Sleeves!

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

1.  Behind Blue Eyes/ My Wife

Vinyl: VG+.  Just a few light angel hairs on both sides, mostly shine.

Labels: VG/VG.  Moderate wear.

Plates: E1/E3.

Sleeve:  VG.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

2.  Call Me Lightning/ Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde

Vinyl: VG+/EX.  Side 2 looks nearly unplayed.

Labels: VG+/NM.  BB hole.

Plates: B8/B8.

Sleeve:  VG.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

3.  Join Together/ Baby Don’t You Do It

Vinyl: NM/NM.  VERY close to store-stock new vinyl.

Labels: EX/EX.  Beautiful labels.

Plates: W3/W1.

Sleeve:  VG.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

4.  The Kids are Alright/ A Legal Matter

Vinyl: VG+/EX.  A very few light lines on Side 1.  Side 2 looks nearly perfect, not quite.  VERY Nice vinyl.

Labels: VG+/VG+.  Light wear.

Plates: 3-2/ 3-2.

Sleeve:  VG.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

5.  Magic Bus/ Someone’s Coming

Vinyl: EX/EX.

Labels: VG/VG+.  Side 1 label has sticker stain and an “X” on the label.  Side 2 has minimal wear.

Plates: 1-1/1-1.  First-day pressing plates.

Sleeve:  VG.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

6.  The Seeker/ Here For More

Vinyl: NM/NM.  Close to store-stock new.

Labels: VG/NM.  Side 1 label has damage over the word, “DECCA,” has two “X’s” written on it.  Side 2 label looks new.

Plates: G/ 1-1.

Sleeve:  VG.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

7.   Won’t Get Fooled Again/ I Don’t Even Know Myself

Vinyl: EX/EX.  Very close to NM, both sides.

Labels: VG/ VG+.  Side 1 label has a dot of sticker damage, and two “X’s” written on it.  Side 2 label has a dot of sticker damage also.

**ERROR:  Early pressing, has the producer’s name misspelled as “Glyn John,” rather than “Glyn Johns.”  See the other records’ labels.

Plates: 1-2/ 1-2.

Sleeve:  VG.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

8.  See Me, Feel Me/ Overture from Tommy

Vinyl: EX/EX.  Just a very few light and short lines per side, by far mostly original gloss.

Labels: NM/NM.  Store-stock new labels.

**ERROR: Contains the perimeter print error, “Decca Recorda” on both sides.

Plates: 2-1/ 2-1.

Sleeve:  VG.  “HAMAS” written on one side.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Very nice set!

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
