9 Pathe Centre Start Records, including Caruso

Description

These rare Pathé Centre start 90-100 RPM records are all in reasonable condition with no edge chips. Hopefully the pictures provided will give an idea of the general overall condition - scratches, dirt etc. As they have not been played I cannot vouch for condition of the grooves as far as playability is concerned.
Each has an original Pathe very tatty (i.e. completely fallen apart) paper sleeve.

There has been welcome interest in these records and a few queries have prompted me to take a closer look at the condition of each, in the right light. I am sad to report that there are some fine cracks in the Caruso record, as though it has taken denting or bending pressure at some stage. The cracks don't seem to go right through and to me it looks playable, especially on the side where the side where the cracks show as extended dents rather than cracks. (Again, I am not an expert!) What is obvious is that it will be more fragile as a result of these cracks. Please see the newly uploaded pictures which show the cracks. The Boys Brigade March record also shows a crack at the centre that does not extend to the groove. On the plus side, a few of the disks, e.g. Wagner/Halevy are in very good condition - I would say almost excellent. One other note. The first listed - Be Proud You're Fighting for England/Auld Lang Syne is a 9.5 inch disk. The others are 11 1/4 inch.
