Rarity: Very Rare especially so being in this Whole & Complete condition. With it's Original Box and Inner. Back in the 60's Vinyl was the Main source of listening to music. Tapes were of course available but Only sold in Very small quantities compared to Vinyl. So you Will see this Album come up Very often while searching to add to your collection. However I Can assure you, you will NOT see many copies available in Twin Track Tapes.

Brief Artist & Album/Single Info: "A Hard Day's Night" is the third studio album by The Beatles, released on 10 July 1964, with side one containing songs from the soundtrack to their film A Hard Day's Night. The American version of the album was released two weeks earlier, on 26 June 1964 by United Artists Records, with a different track listing. In contrast to their first two albums, all 13 tracks on A Hard Day's Night were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney showcasing the development of their songwriting talents. The album includes the title track, with its distinct opening chord, and the previously released "Can't Buy Me Love", both transatlantic number-one singles for the band.

The title of the album was the accidental creation of drummer Ringo Starr. According to Lennon in a 1980 interview with Playboy magazine "I was going home in the car and Dick Lester (director of the movie) suggested the title, 'Hard Day's Night' from something Ringo had said. I had used it in In His Own Write, but it was an off-the-cuff remark by Ringo. You know, one of those malapropisms. A Ringo-ism, where he said it not to be funny ... just said it. So Dick Lester said, "We are going to use that title".

According to music critic Richie Unterberger, "George Harrison's resonant 12-string electric guitar leads were hugely influential; the movie helped persuade the Byrds, then folksingers, to plunge all out into Rock & Roll, and the Beatles would be hugely influential on the folk-rock explosion of 1965. The Beatles success, too, had begun to open the US market for fellow English bands like the Rolling Stones, the Animals, and the Kinks, and inspired young American groups like the Beau Brummels, Lovin' Spoonful, and others to mount a challenge of their own with self-penned material that owed a great debt to Lennon-McCartney".

In 2000, Q placed A Hard Day's Night at number five in it's list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever. In 2012, A Hard Day's Night was voted 307th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time". The album was included in Robert Dimery's 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

CONDITION

Unfortunately I do NOT possess a recording machine of this caliber to confirm wether the Tape actually plays.So this is being listed Purely as a "Collectors Item". I see No reason why it should not play as the tape has the leading edge with Parlophone TA-PMC-1230, Speed 33/4 I.P.S. "A Hard Day's Night" & Recording First Published 1964. 

The Outer Case is not Split, Chipped or Broken anywhere. The Tape sits tightly within the Spool. It has stamped to both sides "Made In Great Britain EMI TAPE Recording Tape"

I can ONLY grade this as GOOD because I CANNOT verify that is plays.

COVER: This Tape came packaged within a Cardboard Box measuring 13cm x 13cm x 1&1/2cm. The format is Exactly the same as the album witch was designed and photographed by Robert Freeman to the front and the Song Titles and information on the reverse. There are Splits to Three of the corners. One Has been taped (but so long ago has faded and come apart). There are no other Tears, Rips or Writing anywhere .ALL of the Printing is Readable and not Faded. There are obvious signs of Rubbing to the front (mainly around the edges of the picture). There are Two smudge marks on the reverse of the box, one is where someone has got Black ink on it and tried to wipe it, the other is a Pink smudge to the bottom right PLEASE look it my photos. This cover is incredibly difficult to find in Ex+ condition simply because of it's design and age. However I would be happy enough to grade it as Good!!!! 

COVER SUMMARY: Not seen often, this one is in reasonable condition with only a few clues of age and blemishes. This classic Box should (as described) please many collectors.

Grading: In my opinion I REFUSE to believe that there is ANY record that can be truly graded as Mint; the BEST that could be offered is Mint- (minus)!!!! Especially so from the 50's, 60's, 70's or even up to the present date!!!! Even copies bought new today would have some form of imperfection on the Record or Cover!!!! Under that assumption I will NEVER use the word Mint in any of my descriptions and Mint- is the HIGHEST grade I would ever offer. So I will only offer from Excellent, Good or Poor with a -(minus), +(plus) or ++(plus, plus)!!!!
