Description

A Raincoat
45

Low start!.....NO Reserve!.....NO high priced ‘Buy It Now’!

Extremely rare single by “A Raincoat” – It’s a Demo / Promo UK issue dated 6.2.76. My research indicates the composer / group -  Andy Arthur, is one Andrew Colin Arthurs, Professor of Music at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. The British-born Arthurs is a musical wunderkind known primarily for his studio talents, having engineered or produced albums for such artists as Joe Jackson, Bryan Ferry, and The Chords. Arthurs is from Cheltenham, England.

This track was used as a soundtrack to “Rabbit's Moon” - an avant-garde short film by American film-maker Kenneth Anger. Filmed in 1950, Rabbit's Moon was not completed (nor did it see release) until 1972. Anger re-released the film in 1979, sped up and with a loop of A Raincoat's "It Came In The Night" as its soundtrack.

Record side one is in excellent condition. Note that a small dink, on the edge. on “Morocco” causes a click for twelve revs.
