Description

I purchased this copy in 1968 - having previously bought Piper at the Gates of Dawn and become a 'floyd fan' - and can say it is therefore an 'early copy'. I'm no 'professional' and have tried to describe accurately in line with the guidance offered on ebay for grading 'vinyl'.

Detailed description
Vinyl: The vinyl looks very good. It is totally flat and has a good sheen. There are some fine, hairline-type 'paper' marks on either side. I have played the entire record and it sounds very good. There is some crackle and background noise which can be heard in the quiet bits and the run-ins/outs, intros/fades and silent grooves, but nothing that detracts from the music. I believe this is a very good copy that sounds great and can be listened to and enjoyed all the way through.
Labels: Both labels look very good with absolutely no signs of damage, writing, stickers etc and minimal spindle marking.
Sleeve: The sleeve is flat, and very good with some wear on the spine as shown in the photos. The unlaminated rear has no signs of ring wear but wear on spine shows at top . Garrod and Lofthouse print
Inner sleeve: EMI advertising inner sleeve is clean and flat but has split on one side seam where the vinyl has 'cut through' - approx 4" long.

Trying what i think is a very reasonable starting price for a very good example of a classic and great album.

will pack carefully and mark as fragile, i am happy to send recorded and fully insured but the postage will be slightly higher than the £4.00 listed
