Description

DNA -- A Taste Of DNA 12"EP

Original 1981 US release on American Clavé Records (catalog # AMCL1003EP), in Picture Sleeve.

This is a pristine, as-brand-new original pressing of one of the finest NYC no wave records ever, from Arto Lindsay/Ikue Mori/Tim Wright. Classic post-punk avant gtr frantic-rhythm leftfield skronk. You won't find a better copy of this record.

Trouser Press Review: The band matured on A Taste of DNA. Six pithy, polished statements show Kabuki-painted drummer Ikue Mori coming into her own as a tight, tireless master of shifting asymmetrical rhythm; Lindsay drawls, yells, yelps, gulps, burbles and gurgles his way to left-field legend. Replacing Crutchfield's monolithic riffing is the sensitive, painterly bass of Tim Wright. This is no formless anarchic blare — each piece is a painstakingly crafted kernel of ideas organized with fearless unorthodoxy.

Shipping And Payment Info

I will combine shipping. Winners of multiple items save substantially on shipping costs. Within the US: shipping is $4.00 for Media Mail. The cost of each extra record is calculated automatically based on weight: if you want to add a record (7", 12", LP or double-LP) or CD to your order the cost is only between 45 cents and 80 cents per extra item depending on total weight. Priority Mail is a recommended option, it's faster and more secure -- cost is reasonable and calculated based on your zip code.

Outside the US: shipping is calculated automatically based on your country and the weight of the record: if you want to add a normal-weight record (7", 12", or LP) or CD to your order the cost is reasonable, usually not more than $3.99 per extra item, often less, depending on total weight.

Records can be shipped worldwide via any method.
  • Within the US: shipping costs include delivery confirmation, and insurance is optional but strongly recommended.
  • For international buyers: insurance and tracking are only available with Priority Mail International or Express Mail International -- contact me for details.
All records are packaged securely, protected by both stiff and cushion packaging.

I can usually accommodate special shipping requests or special payment requirements, just ask.
