Being released on the 8th of November 1971, this magical album went straight into the number one slot in the UK charts, where it stayed for an amazing 62 weeks!!
It was received very well by both the critics and fans alike, on both sides of the Atlantic and in my opinion still stands the test of time to this day.
Catalogue Number: 2401012 (no space inbetween)
Matrix Endings:
Side 1: A3 (with the end catalogue number having two characters 'XX' out)
Side 2: B3

Flat as the day she was born. She carries only a few light marks to her-nothing at all to make her jump or skip....After giving her a little ultrasonic clean, followed by a vacuum clean to suck up any residue, I have just played her all the way through-up loud and I wasn't disappointed :)..Wonderful clean and clear breaks with clear highs and deep lows. I noticed a couple of soft pops at the start of track 3, side 1 as well as some crackle on Going To California but it just reminded me I am listening to a classic vinyl record and not an MP3 and this all fade3d into insignificance when the drums kick in on When the Levee Breaks-WOW!
BANGIN' DEEP DRUMS AND BASS!!
Crisp clear highs too :)

Stairway is wonderfully clear !!

The Labels:

RARE MIIS-PRINTED LABELS....The side 2 label carries the rather sought after and rare INVERTED FEATHER...Not many of these come up for sale-I have only seen a handful of these as they were noticed and quickly removed and rectified.
The labels are in clean condition and are worthy of framing-after playing all the way though at full blast, of course!
This label is unusual as it has the Inverted Feather-yes-but no Peter Grant credit, which is usual for A3 / B3 pressings....
The Sleeve:
VG+.
This is a very nice cover for this album...When you open the cover, to view the inner gatefold, the black is still black and the white-still white!
YOU REALLY COULD FRAME THIS BEAUTY.
Solid corners, with just gentle rubbing to the edges BUT no splits! There is a small bit of featherin of 1cm to the bottom seam at the openeing-where the record is housed-nothing bad at all. As well as a a small bit of rubbing to the top and bottom of the spine.
NO writing.

The Inner:
G.
It is the ORIGINAL 'Symbol' paper inner, with the lyrics to Stairway To Heaven on the back and the track listing of the album to the front.
WITHOUT any catalogue number, which was later introduced for the re-pressings.
There is a split to each seam but she remains strong- As well as a small patch missing to the top of the lyric side, which is why I have given her a G grading.
100% ORIGINAL.
Certainly done her job in keeping the record in top condition!
ALL IN ALL THIS IS A CLASSIC ALBUM WITH SIMPLY SUPERB AUDIO REPRODUCTION.
ON THE ICONIC RED/PLUM LABEL.
