Description
ABBA - In Concert 221 (CN3469S / 146554 - S/146555 - S), BBC Transcription Service; Vinyl LP, UK 1980, with cue sheet and original BBC custom cover (yellow w/green print, sticker + small writing on back cover - radio station info), polylin. inner sleeve.
Original LP - not a bootleg or later reprint.
Condition vinyl: near mint (played once or twice for broadcasting purposes); condition cover: near mint, condition label: near mint (clean, w/o any writing etc.).
Very rare BBC In Concert radio show. Recorded live for BBC radio broadcast, not commercially available. Limited one run pressing of less than 50 copies. Close to 1 hour commercial free live music. All BBC transcripts with stunning clean and dynamic sound quality. Absolutely great audio! The premium of vinyl radio shows!
Abba first hit the headlines outside their home country when they won the Eurovision Song Contest with a song titled Waterloo in 1974. Since then they have become a world-wide star attraction and Sweden’s biggest ever musical export- Abba’s success with Waterloo was the start of a run of hit singles which still goes into the ‘80s and, along with their best selling albums, they have more gold records than most bands have fan mail. This In Concert performance was recorded at the Wembley Arena during Abba's 1979 world tour.
