Description

Very nice copy of the 1957 true first pressing of Abbey Lincoln’s That’s Him! LP on Riverside RLP-12-251. Original smaller deep groove labels. Features some of the greatest players around at the time, including Sonny Rollins, Paul Chambers, Wynton Kelly, Max Roach, and Kenny Dorham at his best. This is one of the great jazz vocal albums of the era, and a very nice copy. The disc has a few very light scuffs but it is mostly shiny and clean and quite nicely cared for. It plays beautifully with a touch of background crackle in spots, but not bad at all. Really clear sound with no pops or skips or anything like that. A great player. The cover is actually quite clean as well, with some tape along the spine, though it does not appear to be split at all. This tape could be removed with some lighter fluid and some patience. Other than that there is just light shelfwear and signs of gentle use. This record was well taken care of and really didn’t get the wear most copies have. A lovely original.
