ABSU - The Third Storm Of Cythraul LP (BLUE-GREEN Vinyl, limited 400 Copies) NEW
Black/Thrash Metal Release Date: 28 August 2020Limited Edition: 400 Copies
Special: Re-Released Classic 22,99 EUR inkl. MwSt. Artikelbeschreibung Weitere Hinweise
The 3rd studio album ''The Third Storm Of Cythraul'' by Texans ABSU is the album for metalheads who want uncompromised raw black/thrash metal that has its roots in 80's thrash and early 90's black metal, but also still manages to do its own thing. For some bizarre reason, this seems to be a overlooked album in ABSU's discography. Basically it's a transition album between the epic, warlike Black Metal of "The Sun Of Tiphareth" and the more thrashy songs of "Tara", but no less intense. A warm, analog production helps the album to effectively recreate the obvious 80's feel the band were going for here and while the drumming isn't as snappy as it ended up on ''Tara'', Proscriptor still lays waste to all in his path with a constant barrage of snare pounding and insane fills. Guitars, meanwhile, are a tour-de-force of insane thrashing punctuated by tremolo abuse and wild, chaotic solos. This is far more blatantly Metal than the melodic ambience so typical of black metal at the time, another factor which makes ABSU so ahead of their time ,despite being today unashamedly retro, of course. Here the 2020´s Edition on 180g blue/green swirl vinyl, limited to 400 copies, with A2 Poster in 350g carton gatefold cover. Attention: The LP is total new and never played, but the cover has an very small dent from supplier shipping.
